Sheikh Mohammed Attends UAE SWAT Challenge 2025 With Global Participation
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, attended the UAE SWAT Challenge 2025. This event, organised by the Ministry of Interior and hosted by Dubai Police at Training City in Al Ruwayyah, saw participation from teams worldwide. Sheikh Mohammed was joined by H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and other senior officials.
The UAE SWAT Challenge features five key competitions: Tactical Operations, Assault Challenge, Officer Rescue, High Tower Challenge, and Obstacle Course. Each event tests teams on advanced strategies and physical fitness. The challenge fosters global expertise exchange and evaluates team readiness for tactical scenarios.
During his visit, Sheikh Mohammed observed the 'High Tower Challenge,' a major part of the competition. Teams showcased their shooting skills and rapid descent abilities from a high tower. This event is one of five main competitions in the world's largest tactical forces challenge.
This year's edition set a record with 105 teams from 46 countries across six continents participating. The competition aims to enhance operational efficiency through knowledge exchange and international best practices.
Sheikh Mohammed received the 'Challenge Shield’ from Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri. He was also awarded an official certificate recognising the UAE SWAT Challenge's entry into the Guinness World Records for having participants from 46 countries.
He met with leaders of tactical teams, praising their performances and emphasising their role in community safety. Their work requires specialised skills and high levels of fitness and resilience.
Sheikh Mohammed also interacted with the Dubai Police Women's Team involved in the challenge. He praised their dedication and encouraged them to continue honing their skills. He highlighted women's significant contributions to national progress, including in security roles.
The Ministry of Interior's efforts in organising this event were appreciated by Sheikh Mohammed. Led by H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, these initiatives aim to foster knowledge exchange and implement international best practices.
The General Command of Dubai Police was acknowledged for successfully hosting and coordinating the event. This effort helps sharpen police officers' skills across the UAE.
The challenge provides a platform for learning about global best practices in rapid response operations. It assesses team efficiency in handling various tactical scenarios while promoting expertise exchange among tactical teams worldwide.
