UAE SWAT Challenge 2025 To Host Record 114 Teams From 48 Nations In Dubai
Dubai is gearing up for the sixth UAE SWAT Challenge, set to be the largest since its global debut in 2019. Hosted by Dubai Police, this event will feature 114 elite teams from 48 countries, showcasing their skills and strategies. The competition begins on 1st February 2025 at Al Ruwayyah Training City, a premier tactical training hub.
This year's challenge is notable for welcoming teams from eight new countries. Additionally, five women's teams and six entries from police colleges and academies will participate for the first time. The event offers a prize pool of US$260,000 and will be broadcast live daily on Dubai Sports TV, Emarat TV, and official social media channels.

The announcement was made during a press conference at the Dubai Police Officers Club. Attendees included Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations; Brigadier Obaid Mubarak Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Organising Committee; and other senior officers.
Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi highlighted the challenge's growth since H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan directed its global transformation in 2018. Under Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri's leadership, participation has surged annually: 73 teams in 2024, 55 in 2023, and 34 in 2022. The inaugural global edition in 2019 featured 61 teams.
"The UAE SWAT Challenge 2025 has become the largest event of its kind, drawing tactical units from Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas," said Major General Al Ghaithi. "Its growing global reputation reflects Dubai’s excellence in hosting world-class events."
Preparations and Event Readiness
Brigadier Obaid Mubarak Al Ketbi confirmed that all resources have been mobilised to ensure the event meets Dubai's high standards for international police and sports events. Teams have already started pre-event preparations at Al Ruwayyah Training City.
Participants will face five challenging events: Tactical Challenge, Assault Challenge, Officer Rescue Competition, Tower Challenge, and Obstacle Course Challenge. International media delegations will cover the event extensively to maintain its status as a global highlight.
The UAE SWAT Challenge continues to expand its reach and reputation globally. With record-breaking participation this year, it underscores Dubai's commitment to hosting exceptional international events that attract diverse talent worldwide.
