UAE Delegation Highlights Sustainable Housing Initiatives At Gulf Housing Conference In Kuwait
The second Gulf Housing Conference, organised by the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), took place in Kuwait. A UAE delegation led by Eng. Mohammed Al Mansouri, Director-General of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, participated in this event. The conference gathered senior officials, experts, and specialists from across GCC countries to discuss sustainable housing projects and global best practices.
During the event, Al Mansouri joined a panel discussion titled "Sustainable Housing Models in GCC Countries." This session explored themes such as integrating smart technologies into housing projects and enhancing public-private partnerships. Participants also reviewed policies and legislation supporting integrated urban community development.

Participants stressed the need for a joint GCC knowledge platform to share data and experiences. This initiative aims to boost regional integration in the housing sector, support social stability, and improve citizens' quality of life across GCC member states. Al Mansouri stated, "Gulf cooperation in the housing sector is a fundamental pillar for strengthening family stability in the region and for building an integrated residential environment that fosters social security and supports the sustainable development goals of GCC countries." He underscored that sustainability is essential for the UAE, which collaborates with GCC partners to develop solutions ensuring Gulf citizens' well-being.
