UAE's Zayed Charitable Foundation And GWU Conclude Initiative Supporting Lebanese Women In Crisis

The Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation (ZCHF) and the General Women's Union (GWU) have wrapped up their involvement in the "UAE Stands with Lebanon" campaign. This initiative, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, aimed to provide aid to those affected by the crisis in Lebanon. The effort included packing essential relief supplies at the GWU headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed gratitude to H.H. Sheikha Fatima for her support of this initiative, which focuses on providing essential needs for Lebanese women during challenging times. He highlighted that this effort reflects the UAE's commitment to humanitarian principles and solidarity with communities facing crises.

UAE Initiative Aids Lebanese Women in Need

The UAE's dedication to international aid is evident through its participation in this campaign. Female volunteers from ZCHF, GWU, and various government entities in Abu Dhabi actively participated in preparing relief supplies. This initiative underscores the country's commitment to supporting communities affected by conflicts.

Dr. Mohammed Atiq Al Falahi, Director General of ZayedCHF, emphasised that the initiative aims to swiftly assist tens of thousands of women in Lebanon. He thanked all volunteer teams who helped organise and mobilise relief materials for their Lebanese sisters, highlighting the importance of timely support during these difficult times.

Noura Al-Suwaidi, Secretary General of GWU, stated that this contribution reaffirms the UAE's steadfast commitment to supporting those affected by conflicts, especially women and children who are often most vulnerable. The initiative aligns with the UAE's broader efforts to provide humanitarian aid globally.

Employees and volunteers from GWU, ZayedCHF, and other Abu Dhabi government departments were involved in preparing and packaging relief items. These supplies will be urgently sent to women affected by the crisis in Lebanon, reflecting a strong sense of solidarity and support from the UAE community.
