UAE Students Secure Top Award At Second Gulf Arts Festival

UAE students recently achieved a notable accomplishment by securing the award for the best comprehensive presentation at the second Gulf Arts Festival. This event, a significant cultural gathering for general education students across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, was held from 30th April to May 3rd. It saw the participation of 120 students who showcased their talents in school theatre, Arabic calligraphy, and visual arts.

The festival, organized by the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States in partnership with the Ministry of Education in the UAE, aimed to foster artistic expression among students. The closing ceremony was graced by prominent figures including Ismail Abdallah, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Arab Theatre Institute; and Dr. Issa Saleh Al-Hammadi, Secretary General of Arab Theatre Institute.

Dr. Abdulrahman Mohammed Alasmi, Director-General of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, highlighted the festival's role in promoting artistic endeavors among Gulf countries' students. He emphasized that such events are crucial for developing confidence, social skills, and creativity among participants. Furthermore, Dr. Alasmi pointed out the bureau's commitment to integrating arts into its programs to tackle social issues, enhance interpersonal relationships, and strengthen communal bonds.

The festival not only served as a platform for showcasing young talents but also as a means to enhance fraternal competition and collaboration among GCC countries' students. It underscored the importance of arts in education and its potential in fostering a sense of loyalty and belonging among youths in the region.
