The relief aid collection at Expo City Dubai is part of a broader public campaign that started on Tuesday, October 8, and will continue until Monday, October 21. This effort underscores the UAE's commitment to providing urgent assistance to Lebanon, reflecting a spirit of brotherhood and compassion towards those in need.
So far, the UAE has contributed $100 million in emergency aid, which includes sending nine relief planes carrying 375 tonnes of supplies. In addition to the ongoing efforts within Lebanon, $30 million in relief aid has been designated to assist Lebanese refugees residing in Syria. This allocation highlights the UAE's comprehensive approach to addressing the needs of affected populations both within Lebanon and beyond its borders.
This campaign represents a significant collaborative effort involving various stakeholders committed to alleviating the hardships faced by the Lebanese people. By uniting resources and expertise, the initiative seeks to make a meaningful impact on those affected by the crisis.
