UAE Stands With Lebanon Campaign Collects 100 Tonnes Of Supplies Through Volunteer Efforts In Fujairah
A significant relief effort took place at Al Bustan Hall in Fujairah, where over 1,000 volunteers gathered to support the "UAE stands with Lebanon" campaign. This initiative collected 100 tonnes of aid, including food and shelter supplies, for Lebanon. Originally planned for two weeks, the campaign has been extended under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The campaign is closely monitored by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and supervised by H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The event was organised by the Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi Foundation for Humanitarian Affairs and the Fujairah Charity Association, with oversight from the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council.
Prominent figures attended the event, including Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi and his children, along with other notable personalities from Fujairah. Saeed bin Mohammed Al Raqbani emphasised the UAE leadership's commitment to providing urgent humanitarian aid to Lebanon.
Saeed bin Mohammed Al Raqbani also highlighted directives from H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi to continue relief efforts as part of the "UAE stands with Lebanon" campaign. This initiative reflects the UAE's dedication to unity and peace. Suhail Rashid Al Qadi noted that giving is a core Emirati value instilled by the nation's founding fathers.
Numerous Emirati charities participated in this collection drive. These included Emirates Red Crescent, Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, and others like Dubai Cares and Sharjah Charity International.
The collaborative effort underscores the UAE's commitment to aiding societies in distress. The involvement of various organisations highlights a unified approach towards humanitarian assistance. This campaign not only provides immediate relief but also strengthens ties between nations through acts of kindness.
