UAE Imposes Fines On SMEs For Not Meeting Emiratisation Targets
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has taken a significant step to boost the employment of Emirati nationals in the private sector, specifically targeting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) has announced that SMEs with a workforce ranging from 20 to 49 employees in certain key sectors must adhere to new Emiratisation targets set for the years 2024 and 2025.
