UAE-Serbia Cooperation Strengthens Economic And Renewable Energy Ties At Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met President Aleksandar Vučić of Serbia during a working visit to the UAE, held within the framework of the UAE-Serbia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, to review bilateral ties and explore fresh areas of cooperation that support sustainable growth, while aligning joint efforts with both countries’ long-term national development priorities.

The discussion covered economic and investment relations, development projects, renewable energy, and wider sustainability initiatives, with both presidents stressing the value of building enduring partnerships in these sectors. They agreed to advance the UAE-Serbia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement to help stimulate trade, attract capital, and diversify both economies in line with shared strategic goals.

The meeting took place at the Zayed National Museum in Abu Dhabi, alongside President Aleksandar Vučić’s participation in Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, where the leaders examined the event’s main themes. They underlined the role of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week as a global platform for dialogue and international cooperation that supports effective, sustainable responses to common challenges, while also accelerating development pathways that can improve living conditions for people worldwide.

After the talks, President Aleksandar Vučić toured the Zayed National Museum with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, viewing exhibits that present the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The tour highlighted the museum’s contribution to the UAE’s cultural and educational landscape and its role in linking the country’s heritage with its present-day identity.

The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; and several ministers and senior officials, as both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to deepening UAE-Serbia relations and strengthening cooperation across key sectors.
