UAE Sends Fifth Aid Ship To Gaza Strip With Over 5,000 Tonnes Of Humanitarian Supplies
The Ministry of Defence's Joint Operations Command has announced the departure of the fifth UAE aid ship from Dubai's Hamriyah Port. This vessel is headed to Al Arish in Egypt, carrying 5,112 tonnes of humanitarian supplies for Palestinians in Gaza. The shipment includes food, shelter materials, medical supplies, and five ambulances as part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.
Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 encompasses several projects aimed at aiding Gaza. Two field hospitals have been established, one within Gaza and another floating facility off Al Arish's coast. The UAE Floating Hospital serves as a crucial medical resource in the region.

In addition to medical facilities, the UAE has set up five automated bakeries and supplied flour to eight operational bakeries in Gaza. These efforts ensure a steady supply of bread for the local population. Furthermore, six desalination plants have been constructed, producing two million gallons of water daily to benefit over 600,000 residents.
The UAE's commitment to supporting Palestinians is evident through its comprehensive aid delivery via sea, land, and air. This initiative reflects a longstanding dedication to providing humanitarian assistance in various forms. To date, more than 34,000 tonnes of aid have been delivered to Gaza.
Under the 'Birds of Goodness' operation, 53 successful airdrops have distributed 3,623 tonnes of aid to remote areas in Gaza. These efforts ensure that even the most isolated communities receive necessary support during challenging times.
The coordination of this aid involves collaboration with organisations such as the Emirates Red Crescent and the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation. The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation also plays a vital role in these humanitarian efforts.
The UAE remains committed to intensifying its efforts to ensure that aid reaches those in need through all available channels. This dedication aims to alleviate the hardships faced by Palestinians in Gaza by providing essential resources and support.
