The panel titled "Artificial Intelligence and Innovation: How AI Pushes the Boundaries of Innovation" featured notable speakers. Ahmed Majan, Chairman of the Emirates Inventors Association, Engineer Cesar Moukarzel from SIA, Samer Chidiac from the New Economy Academy, and Humaid Al Balushi from Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence shared their insights.

Ahmed Majan discussed how the Emirates Inventors Association supports innovation by guiding inventors. The association attracts around 100 children aged 8 to 10 each year. It provides them with financial and moral support until they turn 18 to nurture future innovators.

Majan also explored AI's evolution, historical milestones, economic impact, productivity growth contributions, and job creation roles. He highlighted AI's influence on sectors like healthcare, education, security, transportation, and commerce. He stressed the need for legal frameworks to ensure AI's safe use.

Engineer Cesar Moukarzel emphasised investing in modern technologies across all sectors to aid societal development. He mentioned a report launched at the 2025 World Governments Summit that highlighted advanced technologies' role in urban development.

Encouraging Technological Adaptation

Samer Chidiac pointed out AI's significant impact on daily life through data analysis and predicting future needs. He noted its ability to anticipate societal behaviours as well. Meanwhile, student Humaid Al Balushi urged peers to embrace technological advancements while maintaining cultural identity.

Al Balushi remarked that some human aspects are irreplaceable by AI. His comments encouraged students to balance technological progress with cultural preservation during their academic pursuits.

The Need for Regulation

The panel concluded that while AI drives innovation, regulations are essential to ensure it enhances creativity without harming human values or natural intelligence. Participants agreed that human intelligence remains crucial for genuine innovation.
