UAE Relief Planes Deliver Vital Supplies To Support Lebanese Mothers Amid Ongoing Conflict

Two planes from the UAE, part of the "UAE stands with Lebanon" initiative, arrived at Beirut airport. One plane carried a special contribution for Lebanese women from Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union. Each aircraft was loaded with 40 tons of supplies to aid Lebanese women affected by ongoing conflict. The UAE remains committed to providing humanitarian assistance to Lebanon.

The campaign was initiated under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President. It is being followed up by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, and supervised by His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This effort underscores the UAE's dedication to supporting those in need.

Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development and International Organizations, highlighted Her Highness Sheikha Fatima's commitment to supporting Lebanese women during challenging times. He emphasised that this aligns with the UAE's humanitarian principles. These values are rooted in the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Al Shamsi noted that Emirati humanitarianism calls for a swift response to crises worldwide, regardless of origin or nationality. This approach reflects the inclusive spirit instilled by Sheikh Zayed. The UAE's efforts aim to provide relief and foster recovery in conflict-affected regions like Lebanon.

Her Highness Sheikha Fatima sent a heartfelt message with her contribution: "Dear mothers of Lebanon, our hearts are with you in all circumstances and times. The UAE was and still is with Lebanon, hoping for stability and security." This gesture highlights the deep empathy within Emirati society and its leadership.
