UAE And Qatar Strengthen Ties, Focus On Bilateral Cooperation And Gaza Ceasefire
During a significant diplomatic engagement, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, met with his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdurrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, in Doha. This meeting underscores the ongoing efforts to strengthen fraternal ties and enhance bilateral cooperation between the UAE and Qatar.
The discussions focused on the robust development achievements in both nations and explored avenues for bolstering bilateral relations across all sectors. These efforts aim to support the developmental goals of both countries, ensuring continued prosperity and progress for their peoples. The ministers also deliberated on the latest developments in the Middle East, particularly the situation in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the need for a sustainable ceasefire and humanitarian assistance.

Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the exceptional challenges facing the Middle East, including extremism, tension, and escalating violence. He stressed the importance of intensified cooperation and multilateral efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region. The meeting also touched upon initiatives to provide humanitarian aid to Gaza, underscoring the urgency of establishing humanitarian corridors for aid delivery.
The visit concluded with an Iftar banquet hosted by the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar in honour of Sheikh Abdullah and his delegation. The meeting was attended by notable UAE officials, including Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State; Sheikh Zayed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, UAE Ambassador to Qatar; and Omran Sharaf, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Advanced Sciences and Technology.
Sheikh Abdullah's visit to Doha marks a pivotal moment in UAE-Qatar relations, highlighting a mutual commitment to advancing peace, stability, and development in the region.
