UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Welcomes Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán For Bilateral Talks
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan recently hosted Hungary's Prime Minister, Viktor Orbán, during his official visit to the UAE. Their meeting at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi focused on enhancing bilateral relations, particularly in economic, trade, and investment sectors. They also discussed cooperation in technology, infrastructure, and renewable energy to support sustainable development and meet their nations' aspirations for progress.
The UAE is dedicated to strengthening ties with Hungary, especially in key areas like economy and renewable energy. His Highness emphasised the significance of the UAE-Hungary Joint Economic Committee and Political Consultations Committee in boosting these relations. The UAE aims to expand cooperation across various sectors that contribute to both countries' development.
Prime Minister Orbán expressed gratitude for the warm reception and reiterated Hungary's commitment to deepening ties with the UAE. He highlighted their shared objective of promoting economic growth and prosperity in both nations. This mutual goal underscores the importance of their collaborative efforts across different sectors.
During the meeting, several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) were announced. These agreements cover diverse fields such as education, investment, and renewable energy development. The MoUs aim to broaden cooperation between the two countries, paving the way for future collaborations that benefit both parties.
The MoUs were exchanged by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and His Excellency Péter Szijjártó, Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade. This exchange signifies a step forward in formalising agreements that will enhance bilateral relations.
The meeting was attended by several prominent figures from the UAE side. These included H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi; Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy; Sarah bint Yousif Al Amiri; Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi; Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi; Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed; Faisal Al Bannai; Mohamed Al Abbar; and Saud Hamad Al Shamsi.
Hungarian Delegation
The Hungarian delegation accompanying Prime Minister Orbán included several ministers and senior officials. Their presence highlights Hungary's commitment to fostering stronger ties with the UAE through high-level discussions and agreements that benefit both nations.
