During his visit, he was informed about the hospital's advancements in pediatric surgery and healthcare. This visit underscores the UAE's ongoing dedication to improving healthcare for young patients.
The UAE has been a steadfast supporter of this hospital, contributing significantly to its development. The Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation was established with a $150 million donation from the UAE. Additionally, a further $30 million commitment supported the opening of the Children’s National Research & Innovation Campus.
During his tour, His Highness explored various specialist departments and met with senior officials and medical staff. He received a briefing on the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit Command Center, which uses advanced artificial intelligence to monitor patients and predict critical events like cardiac arrests. This facility also enables telemedicine consultations with doctors worldwide, including those in Abu Dhabi and at the UAE field hospital in Gaza.
