UAE President Shows Solidarity With Injured Captain At Zayed Military Hospital

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan demonstrated his support and concern for the UAE armed forces by visiting Captain Mohammed Salem Al Nuaimi at Zayed Military Hospital. Captain Al Nuaimi is currently recovering from injuries he sustained during a terrorist attack in the Republic of Somalia. This tragic event also resulted in the loss of several members of the UAE armed forces, who were in Somalia to provide training to the local military forces as a part of the ongoing military cooperation between the UAE and Somalia.

During his visit, His Highness inquired about Captain Al Nuaimi's health and expressed his wishes for a swift recovery. He received updates from the medical team on the captain's treatment progress. His Highness praised the exceptional morale and resilient spirit of the nation's armed forces, highlighting their loyalty, dedication, and unwavering commitment to enhancing the UAE's stature and honour.

The visit was marked by the presence of notable figures alongside His Highness, including H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court; Major General Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, along with several senior officials and high-ranking officers of the Armed Forces.

This gesture underscores the UAE leadership's commitment to its armed forces and their well-being, especially those who have suffered in the line of duty. It also reflects the nation's solidarity with its soldiers, acknowledging their sacrifices and valor in missions abroad that aim to foster peace and stability in regions facing turmoil.
