UAE President Engages In Bilateral Talks And Cultural Exchange In Seoul
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with His Excellency President Yoon Suk Yeol of the Republic of Korea and First Lady Kim Keon-hee during his state visit to South Korea. The meeting took place at Changdeokgung Palace in Seoul, where the leaders discussed strengthening bilateral relations and preserving cultural heritage.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed and President Yoon Suk Yeol underscored their mutual commitment to enhancing ties between their nations. They emphasised the importance of culture and national heritage in fostering understanding and communication among peoples. The discussions highlighted the shared goals of both countries in these areas.
During the visit, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed and H.H. Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended a traditional Korean tea ceremony. The event featured a flute performance by a Korean musician, showcasing the rich cultural traditions of Korea. Following the ceremony, the leaders toured the Secret Garden, a historical tourist destination within the palace.
Special Banquet at the Blue House
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed also attended a special banquet hosted in his honour by President Yoon Suk Yeol and First Lady Kim Keon-hee at the Blue House. The banquet included musical and traditional performances, reflecting the deep cultural heritage of Korea. His Highness expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and generous hospitality extended to him and the UAE delegation.
Emphasis on Cultural Preservation
During his remarks, His Highness praised the Korean people's dedication to preserving their rich heritage and culture. He highlighted the role of culture and the arts in building bridges of communication and understanding among different peoples. These elements, he noted, are valuable parts of heritage passed down through generations.
The banquet was attended by several notable figures, including H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court; as well as members of the delegation accompanying His Highness Sheikh Mohamed.
