UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Leads March Of Union For 54th Eid Al Etihad Celebration
UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, along with sheikhs and guests, attended the March of the Union. This event marked the UAE's 54th Eid Al Etihad and was part of the Sheikh Zayed Festival 2025 in Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi. Organised by the Presidential Court, it featured tribesmen from across the nation.
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, was present alongside other notable figures. These included His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
The event showcased a strong sense of national unity. Tribesmen marched from Al Hosn Gate, waving flags and singing traditional songs. Their performances highlighted pride in the union's strength and support for the country's leadership.
Participants enjoyed various cultural displays during the celebration. Traditional Emirati groups performed Al-Ayyala, Al-Azi, and Al-Nadb. Horse and camel displays added to the festivities, alongside other cultural presentations.
The gathering included several prominent figures such as His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan. Other attendees were His Highness Sheikh Suroor bin Mohammed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan also attended. He was joined by His Highness Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Aerial Displays
The UAE’s aerobatic team, Al Fursan, delivered a striking aerial display. Their performance featured smoke trails in the national flag's colours. The Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026 also participated in this grand event.
A visiting troupe from Azerbaijan added to the cultural richness with folk performances. The national anthem played as part of the celebration's highlights.
Expressions of Patriotism
His Highness expressed his pleasure at this genuine expression of national unity. "The UAE draws its strength from its people," he stated, emphasising loyalty and commitment to serving the nation.
The President greeted participants warmly and expressed confidence in a promising future for the UAE. He noted that through patriotism, the country will continue to flourish.
The March concluded with several sheikhs joining Emiratis in an atmosphere filled with pride and celebration. This closing segment underscored unity among all participants.
