UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Reviews New Al Jazira Club Stadium Design And Master Plan
The UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has examined the design and master plan for the upcoming Al Jazira Club Stadium in Zayed City. This stadium will accommodate 24,000 spectators, with the potential to expand to 30,000. Construction is set to commence in 2026 under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The new stadium aligns with the UAE's vision to create top-tier sports facilities that improve life quality and support youth empowerment. It aims to foster excellence and innovation while boosting the sports sector as a vital part of national growth. The project is expected to be completed within three years.
The stadium will boast fully air-conditioned seating and a retractable pitch that can slide out of the main arena. Spectators will also enjoy dedicated hospitality services. Additionally, a variety of amenities such as restaurants and lounges will be available even when events are not taking place.
Designed for versatility, the stadium will host numerous events throughout the year. These include sports competitions, celebrations, and other public gatherings. This flexibility ensures that the venue remains active and engaging for various audiences.
A project briefing was held at Qasr Al Bahr, attended by several dignitaries. Among them were H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region; Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Dr Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the President's Office for Strategic Affairs; Khaldoon Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority; and other senior officials.
This ambitious project underscores the UAE's commitment to advancing its sports infrastructure. By providing state-of-the-art facilities, it aims to enhance community engagement and promote a healthy lifestyle among residents.
