UAE President Reshapes AI and Advanced Technology Council with New Resolution
The UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in his role as the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, has revamped the Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Council (AIATC). He has reinstated Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan as the chairperson and Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as the Vice-Chair. This move aims to strengthen Abu Dhabi's strategic focus on AI and advanced technologies.
The council, since its inception in January 2024, has been at the forefront of guiding Abu Dhabi's ambitions in the realms of artificial intelligence and advanced technology. Its responsibilities encompass the formulation, execution, and enhancement of policies and strategies that propel AI and technological advancements.

This strategic body is instrumental in establishing Abu Dhabi as a pivotal hub on the global stage for AI and advanced technological research, fostering significant investments and partnerships both locally and internationally.
Members appointed to the AIATC under the new resolution include Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Dr. Ahmed Mubarak bin Nawi Al Mazrouei, Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi, Faisal Abdulaziz Al Bannai, and Peng Xiao. Their collective expertise and leadership are expected to contribute significantly to achieving the council's objectives.
