UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Welcomes Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation Delegation
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, recently welcomed a delegation from the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi. The delegation was accompanied by Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, who serves as both Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority and Chairman of the ENEC Board of Directors.
The meeting underscored the UAE's commitment to advancing its strategic national projects. His Highness praised the delegation for their dedication and wished them continued success in fostering the nation's development and sustainable prosperity. He stressed that the UAE is moving confidently into the future, supported by a skilled national workforce.
The UAE's progress in clean energy was highlighted with the commercial operations commencement at Unit 4 of the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant in September. This event marked a crucial step in the country's journey towards achieving net zero emissions by 2050. The plant plays a significant role in transitioning to clean energy.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed emphasised that qualified Emiratis are essential in leading key projects. These individuals ensure resource sustainability and enhance the UAE's global position in clean energy transition, aligning with current and future needs. Their expertise is vital for maintaining progress and development.
The ENEC delegation expressed gratitude for His Highness's unwavering support in empowering Emiratis. They acknowledged his encouragement in enhancing their roles to advance national interests. This support is crucial for enabling Emiratis to contribute effectively to their country's growth.
The meeting was attended by several notable figures, including H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan; H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan; H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan; H.H.
