UAE Welcomes Chilean President With Grand Ceremony At Qasr Al Watan
UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed His Excellency Gabriel Boric Font, President of Chile, who commenced an official visit to the UAE. The reception took place at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi with a formal ceremony.
Upon arrival, His Excellency Gabriel Boric Font was greeted with an official welcome ceremony. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan escorted him to the dais of honour. The national anthems of both nations were played, and a 21-gun salute marked the occasion.
The event was attended by several high-ranking UAE officials. Among them were His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister; H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Other notable attendees included H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court; and Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security.
Additionally present were Mohamed Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs; Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy; and Mohammed Hassan Al Suwaidi, Minister of Investment.
Chilean Delegation
Accompanying President Gabriel Boric Font was a delegation from Chile. This included Alberto van Klaveren, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Nicolás Grau, Minister of Economy, Development and Tourism; Jessica Lopez Saffie, Minister of Public Works; Aisén Etcheverry, Minister of Science, Technology, Knowledge, and Innovation; and Patricio Diaz Broughton, Ambassador to the UAE.
The reception also saw attendance from Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment; Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade; Faisal Al Bannai, Adviser to the UAE President for Strategic Research and Advanced Technology Affairs; Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport; Majed Sultan Al Mesmar, Director-General of Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority; Salem Al Qubaisi, Director-General of UAE Space Agency; Mohamed Saeed Al Neyadi, UAE Ambassador to Chile.
This visit underscores the strengthening ties between the UAE and Chile. It highlights ongoing cooperation across various sectors including economy, science and technology.
