UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan participated in the G7 Summit session on artificial intelligence and energy. In his opening remarks, His Highness thanked Prime Minister Meloni for her invitation to this significant session. He highlighted the numerous challenges facing the world, particularly in the Middle East and Africa, with a focus on the energy sector. His Highness emphasised the importance of collective action and cooperation to address these challenges by leveraging emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, to find sustainable solutions in the energy sector.

His Highness affirmed the UAE's commitment to establishing an integrated system for artificial intelligence through various programmes, legislation, initiatives, and partnerships. This approach aims to use these technologies to identify effective solutions for energy sustainability, ensure energy security, and achieve sustainable economic and social development. It also supports a fair and balanced transition in the energy sector, based on the UAE Consensus, which has been a successful model for international cooperation.

It also supports a fair and balanced transition in the energy sector based on the UAE Consensus model for international cooperation.
We hope that this gathering will lay the foundation for a new phase of collective action that ensures responsible engagement with emerging technologies. This engagement should prevent these technologies from widening developmental gaps between nations or increasing global polarisation. Instead, they should serve as conduits for sustainable development, security, and prosperity for all.
