UAE President Engages With Philippines Interior Secretary On Bilateral Cooperation
The President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan recently welcomed Benjamin Abalos Jr, Secretary of the Department of Interior and Local Government of the Philippines. The meeting took place at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi.
During their discussion, Abalos conveyed greetings from Ferdinand Marcos Jr, President of the Philippines. He also extended his best wishes for the UAE's continued prosperity and the strengthening of UAE-Philippines relations.
The two leaders explored ways to enhance bilateral cooperation to benefit both nations. They discussed various avenues to further strengthen ties between the UAE and the Philippines.
Sheikh Mohamed reciprocated by sending his greetings to President Marcos Jr. He expressed his hopes for ongoing progress and prosperity for the Philippines and its people.
The meeting saw attendance from several notable figures. These included H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region.
Other attendees were H.H. Suroor bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior.

The gathering also included Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, and Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Additionally present were Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence; Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State; and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Ministry of Presidential Court.
This meeting underscores the commitment of both nations to fostering stronger diplomatic ties and exploring new areas for collaboration.
