UAE President Establishes Erth Zayed Philanthropies To Strengthen Global Humanitarian Impact

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has initiated Erth Zayed Philanthropies through a Federal Decree. This new entity aims to enhance the UAE's global humanitarian and development efforts. Based in Abu Dhabi, it will consolidate significant global initiatives under His Highness's patronage, enhancing the effectiveness and reach of the UAE’s philanthropic activities.

Erth Zayed Philanthropies is rooted in the legacy of giving established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE's Founding Father. His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan highlighted that this initiative underscores the UAE's dedication to expanding its global philanthropic influence. "The launch of Erth Zayed Philanthropies is a testament to the UAE's ongoing commitment to amplifying its global philanthropic impact," he stated.

The foundation aims to unify humanitarian initiatives under a single vision, increasing their reach and effectiveness worldwide. It reflects the UAE’s commitment to community development and helping those in need, aligning with values promoted by Sheikh Zayed for humanity’s service. The UAE President focuses on optimising humanitarian projects for sustainable growth and stability.

H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasised philanthropy as central to the UAE’s identity, rooted in Sheikh Zayed's enduring legacy. "Philanthropy and the spirit of giving have long been central to the UAE’s identity," he remarked. Erth Zayed Philanthropies will manage various programmes across sectors like health, education, food security, energy, climate sustainability, and social innovation. It will support existing initiatives such as the Zayed Charitable Foundation and Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation. These efforts aim to position the UAE as a leader in global philanthropy amid complex challenges.

The foundation will also embrace initiatives like Sandooq Al Watan and Clean Rivers. It will oversee awards such as the Khalifa Award for Education and Mohamed Bin Zayed Award for Best Teacher.
