UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Establishes Board Of Trustees For Erth Zayed Philanthropies
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has announced the formation of the Board of Trustees for Erth Zayed Philanthropies. This was done through Federal Decree No. 142 of 2024, appointing H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as chairman. The board aims to enhance humanitarian efforts both within the UAE and globally.
The Board of Trustees includes several notable figures. Among them are Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State, and Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Chairman of The Founder’s Office. Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, who chairs the President’s Office for Strategic Affairs and the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, is also a member.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasised the UAE's dedication to humanitarian work under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed's leadership. He stated that the UAE is committed to enriching future charitable and developmental efforts on a global scale while promoting a culture of giving both locally and internationally.
"Moving forward, the Board of Trustees of Erth Zayed will support the UAE’s broader goal of advancing the nation’s philanthropic ecosystem and working with entities in the Erth Zayed ecosystem to seek solutions that will benefit communities globally through our collective efforts," he added.

Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan highlighted that Erth Zayed Philanthropies embodies President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed's commitment to sustaining the humanitarian legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The foundation continues his mission by supporting nations in achieving sustainable development goals and fostering cohesive communities.
The board aims to ensure sustainability through well-planned global initiatives and humanitarian programmes. These efforts are designed to maximise Erth Zayed's impact, enhance its contributions, and increase aid worldwide.
Foundation's Establishment
Erth Zayed Philanthropies was established in November 2024 under Federal Decree No. 126 of 2024. It operates as an independent legal entity affiliated with the Presidential Court. Its primary objective is to advance humanitarian causes while overseeing various entities and institutions tasked with fulfilling its responsibilities.
Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development Affairs and International Organisations, along with Saeed Rashid Al Zaabi, Advisor to the Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs, are also part of this esteemed board.
The foundation plays a crucial role in preserving Sheikh Zayed’s humanitarian legacy through strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing global aid efforts.
