UAE President Confers Order Of The Mother Of The Nation On Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed For Social Contributions

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan awarded the Order of the Mother of the Nation to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This recognition was part of the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Programme for Excellence and Community Intelligence's seventh edition. The award acknowledges Sheikh Hamdan's dedication to social causes, highlighting his significant contributions over the years.

The ceremony took place at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi, where President Sheikh Mohamed praised Sheikh Hamdan for his humanitarian and developmental initiatives. He commended his efforts in enhancing community wellbeing through various social projects. The President also congratulated other winners of the programme, recognising their exceptional contributions to society.

The Sheikha Fatima Programme for Excellence and Community Intelligence aims to promote social intelligence and active community involvement. During the event, President Sheikh Mohamed expressed gratitude to the Supreme Committee overseeing the programme's seventh edition. The committee is chaired by H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan as Vice Chairman. Their leadership has been pivotal in guiding the programme's success.

Honourees expressed appreciation for this initiative and acknowledged Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak's unwavering support. As President of the General Women's Union and Supreme Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation, her efforts in empowering communities and promoting social cohesion are widely recognised.

The awards celebrated individuals and organisations excelling in various categories such as Cultural, Artistic, and Media Excellence; Science and Future Technologies; Social Responsibility; and more. These awards honour those who contribute significantly to preserving family unity, strengthening social bonds, and instilling moral values in future generations.

Recognising Individual Achievements

In individual excellence categories, Faisal Musleh Al Ahbabi won first place in Community Builders. Momen Ahmed Mohsen Al Hamed and Maram Abdul Majeed Al Sheikh Al Qasimi were recognised for Cultural, Artistic, and Media Excellence. Afrah Mubarak Al Mushajri secured first place in the Support Category for aiding family success.

Maryam Hassan Rashid Al Ghafri was awarded first place in Social Responsibility. Abdullah Khalfan Mohamed Al Majidi Al Bidwawi excelled among Outstanding Grandparents, while Abdullah Mohamed Saleh Al Awadhi was recognised as an Outstanding Father. Hessa Obeid Salem Khlaif Al Tunaiji took first place among Outstanding Mothers.

Institutional Recognition

Several institutions were honoured for their contributions to social causes. JOSAB Community Development Foundation, Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, Fujairah Police General Headquarters, and Future Youth Association – Smile Initiative were among those recognised for their impactful work.

The ceremony was attended by notable figures including H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan; H.H.Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; along with ministers, senior officials, UAE citizens, and guests.

Family Awards

The family of Ghanem Abdullah Jumaa Al Muhairi won first place for outstanding community engagement. The family of Essam Ezzat Ahmed and Amal Mohamed excelled in supporting people of determination. Ali Nasser Al Mansouri's family received recognition for extended family excellence.

The honorary family category saw joint winners: Hamda Taryam Matar Mohamed Taryam’s family and Professor Hamid Obeid Hamid bin Harmel Al Shamsi’s family shared first place honours.
