UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Celebrates Graduation Of First Cadet Cohort From Zayed Military University
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan recently attended the graduation of the first batch of cadets from Zayed Military University in Abu Dhabi. The event was graced by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, along with other dignitaries.
The ceremony took place at the university's campus and included notable figures such as H.H. Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; and several other esteemed officials. Senior leaders from the Armed Forces and Ministry of Defence were also present.

Major General Michael Simon John, President of Zayed Military University, addressed the attendees. He emphasised that the graduation signifies the university's dedication to offering comprehensive military and academic education. He noted that continuous high-quality education paired with exceptional military training is crucial for preparing individuals who will protect their nation.
The ceremony commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran followed by the national anthem. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed awarded certificates and accolades to graduates excelling in both academic and military fields. This gesture highlighted the importance placed on excellence within the institution.
Zayed Military University was founded to provide a blend of academic and military education, aiming to develop future military leaders. The university offers advanced programmes that include specialised military training alongside academic studies. These programmes focus on instilling national values and discipline in students.
The university's mission is to equip graduates with essential skills for serving national security and protecting its achievements. This approach ensures that students become honourable leaders who act as a shield for their nation, embodying values crucial for their roles.
