UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Meets Former US President George W Bush To Review Bilateral Ties
During an official visit to the United States, UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with former US President George W. Bush. Their discussions were cordial, reflecting on Mr Bush's 2008 visit to the UAE. This visit was noted for strengthening the partnership between the two nations, which is based on shared values and a mutual commitment to progress and stability.
His Highness expressed gratitude for Mr Bush's efforts in enhancing UAE-US relations during his presidency. He wished Mr Bush continued health and a long life. The former president reciprocated by expressing his pleasure at meeting His Highness again and reflecting on significant milestones in their bilateral relationship.

The UAE President also acknowledged the significant role of George H.W. Bush, the late father of George W. Bush, in cementing the friendship between the two countries. His Highness described President Bush Snr as 'a friend of the UAE and an ally to the region during a most difficult period.’ This historical context highlights the longstanding ties between the nations.
