UAE Leader Reviews Sustainability Efforts On World Environment Day

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reviewed several environmental initiatives and pioneering ideas aimed at bolstering the UAE's sustainability efforts. This review took place during His Highness' reception at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi on World Environment Day. The event saw the participation of entrepreneurs, youth, and officials dedicated to environmental conservation and sustainability.

His Highness listened to explanations from the leaders of these initiatives about their significance, potential for large-scale development, and achieved results. He commended the importance of such innovative solutions in raising awareness about preserving environmental resources, aiming to build a more sustainable and prosperous future.

His Highness noted that initiatives by environmental leaders, whether in the UAE or globally, serve as a source of inspiration in advancing efforts to protect the environment from various challenges. He emphasized that the UAE is keen to benefit from all contributions and initiatives in this regard while fostering a greater understanding of the role individuals and communities play in addressing climate change.

His Highness underscored that preserving the environment and its resources is a collective responsibility at both community and global levels. He highlighted that the UAE continues to cooperate with international partners to achieve objectives in this field. This cooperation aims to further activate the historic UAE Consensus, which resulted from the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), through effective programmes and initiatives designed to shape a better future for all peoples worldwide.
