UAE President Attends Eid Al-Fitr Prayers At Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque In Abu Dhabi

Today, in a significant display of unity and tradition, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan joined worshippers for the Eid Al-Fitr prayer at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. This event marked a moment of communal reverence and celebration at one of the UAE's most iconic religious landmarks.

Accompanying President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed were prominent figures including His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court; H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi; and H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi. The gathering also included H.H. Sheikh Suroor bin Mohammed Al Nahyan; H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation; and H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, among others.

The Eid sermon was delivered by Dr Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Director General of the UAE Council for Fatwa, who emphasized the significance of family bonds in enriching our lives with joy. He also offered prayers for everyone's well-being on this auspicious occasion and for the UAE's continued stability and prosperity.

Following the prayer, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed exchanged Eid greetings with the attendees, fostering a sense of community and togetherness among those present. The day's events also included a poignant visit to the tomb of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, where prayers were offered for his eternal peace.

This gathering not only reflected the spiritual essence of Eid Al-Fitr but also underscored the leadership's commitment to preserving UAE's cultural heritage and values.
