UAE President Cup Purebred Arabian Grand Prix To Feature AED 10.8 Million Prize Pool On December 15, 2024

The Abu Dhabi Turf Club (ADTC) is gearing up to host the 32nd UAE President Cup Purebred Arabian Grand Prix on 15 December 2024. This event, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, promises a prize pool of AED10.8 million. The competition will feature seven races, including the prestigious UAE President Cup Purebred Arabians Grand Prix (Group 1), with an AED8 million prize.

This year's edition sees a significant increase in the prize pool by AED5.2 million, bringing the total to AED10.8 million. The President Cup for Thoroughbreds offers a grand prize of AED1 million. The races will showcase elite purebred Arabian horses competing over a distance of 2,200 metres. A reception with a barrier draw for the UAE President Cup Purebred Arabian Grand Prix is scheduled for 13 December.

Ali Al Shaiba, Director-General of ADTC, expressed excitement about welcoming international competitors to Abu Dhabi. He stated, "We are delighted to welcome international competitors to the Abu Dhabi Turf Club, exemplifying the future of Purebred Arabian racing." He emphasised efforts to enhance global visibility for this noble sport and deliver a world-class racing experience in Abu Dhabi.

Faisal Al Rahmani, President of IFAHR and Secretary-General of the UAE President's Cup Series High Committee, highlighted ADTC's role as a hub for top-tier international Arabian horse races. He attributed this status to its exceptional facilities and infrastructure, noting that its world-class track is considered a masterpiece among global racecourses.

Mohammad Saeed Al Shehhi, General Manager and Board Member of the Emirates Racing Authority and Vice-Chair of the Asian Racing Federation, underscored the significance of the UAE President's Cup in advancing Arabian horse racing. He credited His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan's support and leadership for elevating the event's status on the global equestrian calendar.

The upcoming event at ADTC not only highlights its commitment to excellence but also strengthens its position as a premier destination for international horse racing events. With increased prize money and top-notch facilities, it promises an exciting experience for participants and spectators alike.
