UAE President Applauds Winners Of Nafis Award For Private Sector Talent

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan recently welcomed the ten winners of the second edition of the Nafis Award in the individuals' category for 2023-2024 at Qasr Al Bahr. The event was also attended by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (ETCC).

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed congratulated the winners and wished them continued success in their careers. He appreciated the efforts of partners in supporting the goals of the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council and the UAE’s vision for Emiratisation targets in the private sector. He engaged with the winners, listening to their experiences and success stories in the private sector.

The President emphasised that UAE leadership is committed to encouraging national talents to excel in various fields within the private sector. This commitment aims to enhance their role in this crucial sector and contribute to sustainable economic development. His Highness highlighted private institutions' importance in promoting Emirati talent participation and fostering a culture of excellence and competition in the labour market.

His Highness stated that public and private sectors have complementary roles, with the private sector being a vital contributor to the national economy. It is also a key partner in achieving the country's ambitious developmental vision while advancing its economic system. The President acknowledged private institutions' efforts in supporting leadership initiatives on Emiratisation.

Ghannam Butti Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of ETCC, provided an overview of various council programmes and projects during the ceremony. This included details about the Nafis Award, its categories, evaluation stages, and how winners were selected for both individuals and companies categories for this edition.

Award's Purpose

The Nafis Award aims to honour outstanding Emiratis working in the private sector. It also recognises private-sector establishments registered with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the Central Bank of UAE that have shown a commitment to investing in Emirati talent.

The winners expressed their joy at meeting His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. They affirmed their commitment to continuing their journey of excellence to achieve leadership's vision and ambitions for empowering youth in the private sector.
