President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan recently participated in a session focused on the UAE's strategic vision for creating a comprehensive artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystem. The event highlighted the nation's dedication to leveraging AI for the benefit of individuals and communities, aiming to establish the UAE as a leading global hub for AI technology.

Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, delivered opening remarks about the UAE leadership’s vision for AI and innovation. He shared real-life examples of how AI is influencing daily routines. Speakers throughout the day emphasised that AI is a transformative field shaping all life areas. They noted that the UAE has kept pace with rapid technological advances globally.
The session showcased how AI enhances healthcare quality and efficiency, noting improvements in diagnosis accuracy and treatment outcomes. These advancements have significantly increased patient survival rates. The UAE's proactive approach includes launching a national AI strategy focused on investing in talent, strengthening infrastructure, and enhancing global competitiveness.

Initiatives like the AI Readiness Index measure federal entities' preparedness for leading in the AI era.
The Large Language Model Alignment Index assesses language models' cultural alignment with Emirati values and output accuracy. These initiatives place Emirati culture at the heart of the UAE’s AI outlook. A live phone demonstration explained how the TAMM app delivers integrated services from multiple government entities, showcasing real-time support through an AI tool.
