UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed And Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama Meet To Strengthen Bilateral Relations
UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited Tirana, Albania, for a working trip. During this visit, he engaged in discussions with Prime Minister His Excellency Edi Rama to explore ways to enhance bilateral relations. The meeting aimed to identify new areas of cooperation and further the development goals of both nations.
Upon his arrival at Tirana International Airport, Sheikh Mohamed was greeted by Prime Minister Rama and other senior officials. The warm reception underscored the importance of the visit and the strong ties between the two countries. The discussions focused on expanding partnerships in key sectors such as economy, trade, renewable energy, food security, and technology.
The UAE President and Albanian Prime Minister reviewed their growing partnership and explored opportunities for further collaboration. They emphasised the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in resolving conflicts and highlighted the need for stronger international cooperation to promote peace, stability, and security globally.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed reiterated the UAE's commitment to building robust partnerships across the Balkans, with Albania being a key partner. He stressed the UAE's consistent approach of fostering development-focused relationships based on mutual interests and shared commitments to peace and prosperity.
During their meeting, Prime Minister Rama awarded Sheikh Mohamed the 'Benemerenti' medal. This is Albania's highest public honour given by the Prime Minister. It recognises Sheikh Mohamed's significant role in strengthening UAE-Albania relations across various fields.
The Albanian Prime Minister praised Sheikh Mohamed's dedication to enhancing cooperation between their countries. He described the award as a symbol of deep respect and appreciation that His Highness enjoys in Albania.
Delegation Participation
The meeting was attended by members of the official delegation from the UAE. This included H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; among others.
Other notable attendees were Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security; Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State; Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Ali Al Mazrouei; Faisal Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Bannai; Lana Zaki Nusseibeh; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak; Dr. Ali Obaid Al Dhaheri; and Mohamed Alabbar.
The discussions also covered regional and international issues of mutual interest. Both leaders expressed their determination to continue advancing bilateral ties in ways that bring lasting benefits to both nations and their peoples.
