UAE Welcomes Phase Two Of Gaza Peace Plan And NCAG Formation

Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, has welcomed the launch of the second phase of the comprehensive Gaza peace plan and the formal creation of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, while also noting the establishment of the ‘Board of Peace’ and her own appointment to the Gaza Executive Board.

The National Committee for the Administration of Gaza is described as a temporary transitional structure, formed under UN Security Council Resolution 2803 to help organise governance in the Gaza Strip, with Al Hashimy stressing that this mechanism supports broader efforts to stabilise conditions and link humanitarian needs with longer-term political arrangements.

Al Hashimy also welcomed the announcement by US President Donald Trump of the ‘Board of Peace’, which is presented as an additional framework for advancing the Gaza peace plan, and she highlighted how this body is expected to complement diplomatic initiatives aimed at consolidating stability and reviving a credible political track.

In this context, Al Hashimy commended the leadership role of President Trump and praised what were described as sustained efforts by the State of Qatar, the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Republic of Türkiye, noting that these states are working with international partners to support the peace process and reinforce prospects for wider regional security.

Al Hashimy expressed her pride in being appointed to the Gaza Executive Board, affirming that the appointment reflects the international community’s confidence in the UAE’s leading role and its steadfast approach to supporting peace and transforming challenges into meaningful opportunities for the people of Gaza, and for the peoples of the region as a whole.

The minister added: "The UAE believes that achieving lasting peace requires the concerted efforts of the international community and effective governance of the Gaza Strip in a way that ensures the legitimate rights and aspirations of the brotherly Palestinian people, contributes to stability, and supports the peace process toward a more secure and prosperous future for the region."

She emphasised the importance of building on the progress achieved under the Gaza peace plan and underlined the need for continuous, coordinated work to restore a comprehensive political process that can deliver a two-state solution and a just and lasting settlement that addresses core issues and supports regional stability.
