UAE Pavilion Celebrates Milestone With 250,000th Visitor At Expo 2025 Osaka

The UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka recently celebrated a major achievement by welcoming its 250,000th visitor. This milestone was reached just over two weeks after the Pavilion's official opening. The event was marked with a special ceremony, highlighting the Pavilion's appeal to guests worldwide.

The Pavilion's design draws inspiration from the UAE’s iconic date palm tree. It features 90 towering rachis columns, crafted using sustainable methods and Japanese woodworking techniques. This architectural marvel reimagines traditional areesh structures, creating a striking oasis that captivates visitors.

Inside, visitors embark on a multisensory journey that narrates the UAE’s national story. This experience highlights the nation's deep humanity and transformation, rooted in enduring values. Guests meet innovators shaping the future, including space explorers, healthcare catalysts, and sustainability stewards.

Shihab Al Faheem, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the UAE Embassy to Japan and Commissioner General of the UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, warmly welcomed the 250,000th guest and her family. They received a commemorative certificate, gifts from the Pavilion shop, and a complimentary meal at the Emirati restaurant.

"We are proud to welcome our 250,000th guest to the UAE Pavilion," said Shihab Al Faheem. "This milestone reflects the Pavilion’s role as a platform for dialogue, discovery, and collaboration. We are honoured to share the UAE’s story with the people of Japan and the world as we work together towards a flourishing future for all life, from Earth to Ether," he added.

The Pavilion's theme "Earth to Ether" guides visitors through an engaging exploration of the UAE’s cultural heritage and innovative strides in space exploration, healthcare advancements, and sustainability efforts. This journey culminates in ‘Woven Legacies’, a documentary installation showcasing contemporary life in the UAE.

Since its opening, the Pavilion has attracted significant interest from guests. Its reputation as one of Expo 2025 Osaka's most engaging national pavilions continues to grow. The Pavilion serves as a testament to the UAE's commitment to sharing its rich history and ambitious future with global audiences.
