UAE Pavilion At Expo 2025 Osaka Welcomes Four Million Visitors
The UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, recently celebrated a significant achievement by welcoming its four millionth visitor. This feat underscores its status as one of the premier national pavilions, attracting attention and acclaim from around the globe.
This recent milestone was achieved shortly after the UAE Pavilion observed UAE Day at the Expo with a series of events, including official ceremonies and cultural performances.

The celebration saw the attendance of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, who led a delegation of senior officials from both the UAE and Japan.
The event highlighted the UAE's commitment to innovation and cultural heritage, while also emphasising the strong bonds of friendship and partnership with Japan and other nations worldwide, aligning with the Expo's theme of "Designing Future for Our Lives."
To mark the occasion of reaching the four million visitor milestone, the Pavilion organized a unique interactive event, a "Nurie Pazuru," which means colour-in puzzle in Japanese. Participants worked together to colour a giant canvas on the Pavilion's front, revealing the number "4,000,000". This collaborative artwork symbolises the unity and shared experiences of the thousands who have visited the Pavilion.
Shihab Alfaheem, the UAE Ambassador to Japan and Commissioner General of the UAE Pavilion, expressed pride in this achievement, stating, "Reaching four million visitors is a reminder that the UAE Pavilion is not only representing the UAE, but every person who has stepped in and experienced the hospitality of our country, engaged with our Youth Ambassadors, and become part of our story.
"Coming so soon after the success of UAE Day, this achievement reflects the warmth of our welcome and the genuine curiosity of those who have made the Pavilion part of their Expo journey."
Since its opening in April 2025, the UAE Pavilion, named "Earth to Ether," has been offering a multisensory experience through five thematic zones. These zones showcase the UAE's advancements in various fields such as space exploration, healthcare innovation, sustainable practices, and cultural heritage.
The Pavilion's design, a collective effort by the Earth to Ether Design Collective, incorporates elements from UAE, Japanese, and international partners, drawing inspiration from the cultural significance of the date palm. Its architecture features 90 sculptural columns made from over two million palm fronds, symbolizing growth and intercultural cooperation.
As Expo 2025 Osaka continues until October 13, the UAE Pavilion remains a focal point for visitors, serving as a hub where cultures, ideas, and experiences converge. Each milestone reached by the Pavilion is given significance by the visitors who include it in their Expo experience, underlining its role as a beacon of cultural exchange and understanding.
