UAE's Parliamentary Efforts Drive Societal Progress, Says Minister Al Owais

Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad bin Nasser Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention and Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs, emphasised the UAE’s parliamentary experience as a cornerstone of the nation's journey towards excellence in various sectors. He stated that parliamentary work drives societal advancement and aligns with the leadership's aspirations for global prominence.

On International Day of Parliamentarism, celebrated on 30th June annually, Al Owais highlighted the UAE's commitment to Shura (consultation) values established by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. This commitment is guided by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Their Highnesses Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, along with the Rulers of the Emirates.

Al Owais noted that the UAE provides resources to enhance its parliamentary system, empowering it to play a significant role in Emirati citizens' lives. This system aims to help the UAE achieve accomplishments that surpass other nations globally.

The Minister explained that achieving the leadership’s vision for the UAE’s future requires enhancing collaboration between the government and the Federal National Council (FNC). Establishing coordination processes is essential to meet leadership ambitions for UAE citizens to excel globally in all fields.

Al Owais highlighted that this inclusive vision fosters a strong team spirit and cooperation towards success. "This will also be key for sustaining the momentum," he added, "in addition to bolstering dedication and multiplying efforts towards further achievements, in line with the goals of the UAE Centennial 2071 Plan to position the UAE at the forefront of countries across all fields."

Enhancing Coordination Processes

The Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs strives to enhance coordination between the government and FNC. It aims to establish practical mechanisms directing parliamentary efforts towards national interests. The Ministry also works on strengthening relations through innovative initiatives that improve performance.

Minister Al Owais reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to using all available resources to drive continuous improvement in performance and efficiency. This aligns with the UAE Government’s aspirations to set a global example and become a role model emulated worldwide.
