Pakistan President Zardari Meets Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak In Abu Dhabi To Discuss Bilateral Ties
President Asif Ali Zardari, on a working visit to the UAE, met Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi, where both sides discussed UAE–Pakistan relations, assessed recent progress, and agreed to deepen cooperation across politics, development, investment and culture to serve shared national interests.
During their talks at the President’s residence, delegations reviewed the overall course of bilateral ties, noting tangible gains in recent years, and stressed that existing momentum should continue through wider integration in areas such as trade, sustainable projects, humanitarian work and cultural exchange between the two countries.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan said President Asif Ali Zardari’s visit underlined the depth of longstanding friendship, adding that both governments remained keen to develop ties in multiple fields and to use regular dialogue to exchange views on regional issues and shared global concerns.
He highlighted opportunities for cooperation in sustainable development, investment partnerships, humanitarian initiatives and cultural programmes, while President Asif Ali Zardari thanked Sheikh Nahyan for the warm welcome, expressed satisfaction with the constructive atmosphere during the meeting, and noted that mutual understanding had strengthened confidence between the Emirati and Pakistani sides.
