UAE Order For Culture And Creativity Recipients Honoured By Sheikh Mansour At Annual Meetings

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, honoured recipients of the UAE Order for Culture and Creativity at the UAE Government Annual Meetings 2025 in Abu Dhabi. This prestigious award recognises individuals whose contributions have significantly enriched the UAE's cultural landscape, enhancing its influence on regional and international platforms.

The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman; H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah; and H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah. Their presence underscored the importance of culture and creativity in the UAE’s development journey.

H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed emphasised that culture and creativity are vital to the UAE's vision for development. He stated, "Culture and creativity are fundamental pillars of the UAE's vision and approach to development. They represent the essence of our national identity and the cultural openness that defines the nation." This highlights their role in enhancing global standing and forging new connections worldwide.

The UAE Order for Culture and Creativity is a national initiative organised by the Ministry of Culture. It celebrates exceptional talents whose artistic contributions have enriched the UAE’s cultural landscape. The Order underscores the authenticity and importance of the UAE’s cultural identity while positioning it as a leader in cultural innovation globally.

The Custodian Tier recipients include Eng. Rashad Bukhash for Design and Architecture, Ibrahim Juma for Music, Ismail Abdullah Al Hammadi for Performing Arts and Theatre, Dr. Arif Al Sheikh for Literature and Arabic Language, and Dr. Mohamed Yousef Al Hammadi for Visual and Digital Arts. These individuals have made significant contributions to their respective fields.

In the Pioneer Tier, Jaber Sultan Nagmoosh was recognised for Performing Arts and Theatre, Shaykha Mubarak Al-Nakhi for Literature and Arabic Language, and Mohammed Mandi for Visual and Digital Arts. Their achievements reflect their pioneering roles in Emirati art movements.

Cultural Legacy

Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qassimi, Minister of Culture, remarked on the importance of this recognition: "The UAE Order for Culture and Creativity supports Emirati cultural talent." He added that it demonstrates a commitment to enhancing cultural industries rooted in a belief in culture's power to enrich lives.

The design of the Order incorporates five core elements reflecting Emirati traditions: The Falcon, Sun, Fort, beads representing seven emirates, and an Al-Sadu patterned ribbon. This blend of traditional values with modern vision symbolises cultural excellence.

This honour inspires future generations by establishing a legacy of cultural pride. It encourages young creatives to pursue their passions while contributing meaningfully to the evolving cultural landscape in the UAE.
