Dr Mohamed Rubayyi', Deputy Head of the Support Committee for Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, acknowledged the UAE’s ongoing efforts under His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s directives. These efforts focus on providing extensive assistance to Gaza’s people and strengthening their healthcare system. The UAE's initiatives are crucial in delivering essential support during challenging times.

Hiba Al Najjar, WHO Health Coordinator in Gaza, commended the UAE for its unwavering support since the humanitarian crisis began. She noted that from the onset, the UAE established a field hospital and consistently aided Palestinian hospitals. This support has significantly enhanced healthcare capacity, enabling better patient care amid ongoing challenges.

The Emirates Medical Centre features various specialised departments and a pharmacy to cater to patients' needs effectively. Dr Sameh Hamid, Director of the centre, stated: "The centre is equipped to receive emergency cases as well as patients in need of primary healthcare, with specialised departments and a pharmacy to provide appropriate treatment." This facility aims to deliver timely and effective medical care.

The opening of this medical centre is part of broader efforts by Operation Chivalrous Knight 3. These include deploying medical convoys and supplying ambulances, medicines, and other essentials. Such initiatives aim to improve healthcare quality for Gaza’s residents by ensuring they have access to necessary medical resources.

Enhancing Healthcare Capacity

This new facility builds upon the work done by the UAE Field Hospital in supporting Gaza’s health sector. By relieving pressure on existing medical facilities, it contributes significantly to improved care for patients and those injured or wounded. The continuous support from these initiatives plays a vital role in enhancing overall healthcare delivery within the region.

The Emirates Medical Centre represents a critical component of ongoing efforts by the UAE to assist Gaza’s health infrastructure. Through comprehensive services and consistent support, these initiatives aim to address immediate healthcare needs while fostering long-term improvements in medical care standards across the territory.
