UAE Concludes Cultural Showcase With Olympic House Closure In Paris
The National Olympic Committee (NOC) has concluded the UAE Olympic House initiative, part of the UAE's involvement in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. This project aimed to highlight the UAE’s rich cultural and historical heritage while promoting its values globally. Over 16 days, the UAE Olympic House welcomed international visitors, showcasing traditional Emirati culture and hospitality at Place de la Concorde in Paris.
Inspired by traditional Emirati house designs, the UAE Olympic House featured eight thematic rooms. These rooms highlighted the nation's cultural heritage, innovations, passion for sports, and traditional hospitality. An 18-panel mural was also displayed, sharing stories about some of the athletes representing the UAE in Paris. Visitors engaged in augmented reality experiences inspired by traditional games.

The initiative also included a culinary experience from Michelin-starred Erth Restaurant. Guests enjoyed dishes that combined traditional Emirati flavours with expertise from renowned chefs at École Ducasse Abu Dhabi Studio. This unique blend of cuisine offered visitors a taste of Emirati culture through food.
The UAE delegation, consisting of 14 athletes—the second-largest since 1984—was honoured through various events and official visits. Members of Team Emirates and key officials celebrated their participation in the Paris 2024 Games and the growing prominence of Emirati cycling on the global stage.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the NOC organised a high-level roundtable discussion titled "Beyond the Games: The Olympic Games and Public Diplomacy in Shaping National Identity." Hosted by Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of State, this event underscored sport's role in strengthening social bonds and creating a lasting legacy for future generations. It also highlighted sports diplomacy's importance in fostering mutual understanding among different cultures.
A Gathering Point for All
The UAE Olympic House served as a vibrant gathering point for UAE Nationals, residents, and supporters worldwide throughout the tournament. This initiative aimed to promote international cooperation and cultural exchange while emphasising the country's commitment to sports development.
The opening of this first UAE Olympic House in Paris marked a significant step towards showcasing the nation's dedication to these goals. By bringing together people from diverse backgrounds, it fostered a sense of unity and shared purpose among visitors.
This initiative not only celebrated Emirati culture but also demonstrated how sport can bridge gaps between different communities. Through various activities and events, it provided an opportunity for people to connect and learn more about each other's traditions and values.
The UAE's participation in such international events highlights its ongoing efforts to build strong relationships with other nations. By promoting its cultural heritage on a global stage, it continues to enhance its reputation as a country that values diversity and inclusivity.
