Major displays will run from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah, highlighting the country’s role as a hub for large-scale, safe public events that attract visitors from the region and around the world.
Authorities are coordinating programmes that combine pyrotechnics, drone technology and family entertainment. National and local committees are working with security and tourism bodies to manage crowds and logistics. Events are scheduled for Wednesday evening, 31st December 2025, starting at 20:00, giving residents and tourists multiple options to welcome the New Year.
In Abu Dhabi, Al Wathba will stage one of the country’s largest New Year’s Eve gatherings through the Sheikh Zayed Festival. Ras Al Khaimah is planning its largest New Year’s Eve spectacle so far, with organisers aiming for a new Guinness World Records title. The 15-minute show will run along a six-kilometre stretch from Al Marjan Island to Al Hamra Island, combining fireworks, illuminated drones and laser effects in a single synchronised performance.
The Ras Al Khaimah display will feature more than 2,300 drones flying in formation. These will support complex aerial scenes before the launch of the largest fireworks shell used in the emirate at midnight. Officials expect the show to draw international attention due to its technical scale and record ambitions.
Sharjah Investment and Development Authority, Shurooq, working with the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, has announced a wide New Year programme. Fireworks lasting ten minutes will be held at Al Majaz Waterfront, Al Heera Beach and Khorfakkan Beach. Six other festive locations, including Al Noor Island and Mleiha National Park, will host additional attractions.
Sharjah’s events will also start on 31st December 2025 at 20:00 in public, open-air spaces.
