UAE Rains: NCM Issues Advisories For Drivers On Monday
The UAE National Centre of Meteorology have reported the possibility of more rain again in the coming week. The rains that have thundered across the region in the past weeks were the heaviest that the country has faced in over 75 years. It has caused significant destruction in life and property.
However, UAE authorities have displayed an exemplary model of commitment and efficiency in order to bring life back to normal for citizens. The UAE task force have succeeded in alleviating and gauging the problems that citizens faced during the unprecedented bout of incessant rain and bringing timely solutions for them.
Currently, as more rain and unstable weather is predicted for the region, the UAE National Centre of Meteorology have released a brand new set of guidelines for residents to follow to ensure maximum safety during the aggressive weather. The NCM has taken to 'X' to announce the following:
- Avoid driving unless absolutely necessary. If necessary, drive with caution and remain vigilant and alert to ensure the safety of all road users.
- Turn on low-beam headlights when visibility is reduced.
- Follow weather forecasts from official channels and be ready to comply with instructions issued by relevant authorities.
While the aforementioned guidelines should be common knowledge to us all, it is true that during moments of panic, many of us forget to follow even the most basic of road rules. Always make sure to err on the side of caution and to refrain from driving at all, if possible, during the unstable weather.
