UAE National Team Successfully Completes Official Weigh-In For Jiu-Jitsu World Championship In Greece

The UAE Jiu-Jitsu National Team (Adults), backed by Mubadala Investment Company, has successfully completed the official weigh-in for the Jiu-Jitsu World Championship. This event, organised by the Jiu-Jitsu International Federation, is taking place in Heraklion, Greece, from 24th to 26th October. The team comprises top male and female athletes aiming to secure the world title for the fifth consecutive year.

Fahad Al Shamsi, Secretary General of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, attended the weigh-in and expressed confidence in the team's readiness. He stated, "The National Team is well-prepared and ready to perform at their best. We are optimistic about their ability to compete at the highest level and add new accomplishments to the UAE's distinguished jiu-jitsu record."

UAE Team Completes Weigh-In for Championship

Mubarak Al-Menhali, Director of the Technical Department at the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, highlighted the team's rigorous preparation. He noted that athletes have undergone over a month of intensive training focused on enhancing technical and strategic skills. The team has demonstrated strong abilities in understanding and executing tactical plans during training sessions.

Al-Menhali further mentioned that the athletes are now in peak physical and mental condition. This preparation ensures they are ready to compete and defend their title successfully. The commitment shown by each athlete during training reflects their dedication to achieving victory.

Muhrah Mahfoudh, who competes in the 70 kg category, shared her thoughts on representing the UAE. She said: "Representing the UAE in the Jiu-Jitsu World Championship is a great honour as well as a huge responsibility. We’ve worked diligently through daily training and intensive camps, and we are ready to achieve new victories."

Mahfoudh also expressed gratitude for the support received from various quarters. She acknowledged the backing from UAE's leadership, the Jiu-Jitsu Federation, and technical staff. This support plays a crucial role in motivating athletes to give their best efforts in retaining their title.

The UAE team aims to reinforce its position as a global leader in jiu-jitsu through this championship. Their dedication and preparation reflect their ambition to continue their path of success on an international platform.
