UAE's National Experts Program Calls For Technical Experts To Fuel Growth
The National Experts Program (NEP), now in its fourth edition, is inviting applications from technical experts across 20 sectors. This initiative is part of the UAE's ambitious centennial vision aimed at spurring economic growth and technological advancement. Since its inception in 2019 under the guidance of The President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the NEP has been instrumental in fostering a community of Emirati technical professionals who are at the forefront of their fields, providing them with the tools and knowledge necessary to tackle global challenges.
This year's program focuses on three main clusters: Economic Growth, Social Development, and Sustainability and Infrastructure. It aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of 20 technical experts, each representing sectors pivotal to the UAE's strategic goals. Ahmed Talib Al Shamsi, Director of NEP, emphasized the program's role in nurturing talent and technical expertise critical for the UAE's future prosperity, especially in a rapidly evolving global context.
Applicants to the program are expected to have a minimum of 10 years of experience, with at least five years within their respective sectors, contributing to strategic projects of national importance. This year, the application process will integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) to streamline the selection process, including skills and personality analysis, AI interviews, and AI-driven reporting systems.
The fourth edition will introduce five new sectors, expanding its reach to fields such as economic development, advanced sciences and research, technology and innovation, among others. Participants will benefit from a tailor-made program that includes mentorship by leading figures in government and the private sector, as well as academic expertise from global partners. The aim is to instill key mindsets for lifelong learning and enable participants to further specialize in their chosen sectors.
The 12-month program will consist of a nine-month academic phase followed by a three-month rotation module, with options for customizing coursework to meet individual development needs. It will also feature collaborative activities and immersive experiences, blending in-field work with classroom learning to enhance leadership skills and sector-specific expertise.
Until now, 61 Emiratis from diverse backgrounds have completed the National Experts Program, contributing valuable knowledge and leadership to transformative projects of national significance. The program continues to support the UAE's vision for the future by equipping its participants with the skills and expertise necessary to lead in their respective domains.
