UAE Announces Public Holidays For National Day Celebrations
The UAE Federal Authority for Government Human Resources has declared that December 1 and 2, 2025, will be public holidays for federal government employees. This announcement is in celebration of the UAE's 54th Union Day. With the weekend preceding these dates, employees will enjoy a four-day break.
All ministries and federal entities are included in this announcement. Regular working hours will resume on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. The authority extended its best wishes to the UAE's leadership, citizens, and residents for continued prosperity.

Public sector employees will have an extended weekend to mark the UAE's 54th National Day, also known as Eid Al Etihad. The Federal Authority confirmed that leave would be granted on Monday and Tuesday, aligning with the national celebrations.
The private sector's holiday schedule for Eid Al Etihad has not yet been disclosed. Typically, both public and private sectors receive the same number of holidays according to the unified UAE government calendar.
