UAE National Atlas Book Launched By Federal Geographic Information Centre To Mark Eid Al Etihad
The Federal Geographic Information Centre has introduced the UAE National Atlas book, aligning with the 53rd Eid Al Etihad celebrations. This atlas is an authoritative source offering geographic data, indicators, aerial photos, and satellite images. It presents these within a geographic and temporal framework, showcasing the nation's accomplishments over the past five decades.
The atlas encompasses various sectors such as education, health, energy, water, culture, heritage, roads, transportation, telecommunications, population, and environment. It also includes geographic information and more. A dedicated chapter outlines the historical journey of the nation, focusing on the Union's formation from 1968 until the UAE's declaration in December 1971.

This edition reflects the country's achievements over fifty years and its future goals. It acts as a dependable data source by merging geographic information with spatial analysis. This enables readers to grasp the UAE's development driven by ongoing efforts and visionary leadership.
Collaborative Efforts for Knowledge Economy
The UAE National Atlas features spatial geographic references created by the Federal Geographic Information Centre in partnership with federal and official bodies. This initiative is part of a national strategy to boost the geographic information sector's role in the knowledge economy. It supports the UAE’s vision for Centennial 2071.
In September 2023, a digital version of the Union Atlas was launched. It is accessible through the "UAE Atlas" app or via both the Union Atlas and Centre's official websites. The digital format ensures easy access to this valuable resource for anyone interested in exploring UAE's geographic data and historical progress.
