UAE National Archery Team Achieves Success With Seven Medals At West Asia Championship
The UAE national archery team excelled at the 2nd West Asia Archery Championship in Qatar, securing seven medals. Their impressive haul included three golds, two silvers, and two bronzes, earning them second place overall. The UAE Archery Federation highlighted the remarkable performances of both male and female athletes during the event held in Doha.
Upon returning to the UAE, the national team was warmly welcomed at Sharjah Airport by Humaid Sabet Al Shamsi, Vice President of the Federation, and Hind Al Hosani, Secretary-General. The team's achievements were celebrated as a testament to their dedication and skill.

The women's compound team, consisting of Mitha Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Amina Yousef Al Awadhi, and Jumana Ali Al Najjar, clinched gold in their category. Similarly, the men's recurve team comprising Ali Yaqoub Rangeri, Mansour Saeed Al Ketbi, and Sib Sankar Maity also secured a gold medal. These victories underscored the strength of UAE's archery teams.
In addition to these successes, the mixed recurve team event saw Samiya Odinaeva and Sib Sankar Maity winning another gold for the UAE. Meanwhile, Mohammed Saleh bin Amro and Amina Yousef Al Awadhi earned silver in the mixed compound team event. Amina Al Awadhi further added to her accolades with a silver medal in the women's individual compound event.
The men's compound team also contributed to the medal tally by winning bronze. The team comprised Mohammed Saleh bin Amro, Yousef Hassan Al Hosani, and Shihab Ahmed Al Saadi. Their performance demonstrated consistent excellence across different categories.
Hanadi Khalifa Al Kabouri, President of the UAE Archery Federation, praised this continental achievement as a significant milestone for the national teams. She emphasized that it reflects years of progress and commitment to enhancing competitive skills among athletes.
Al Kabouri reiterated the Federation's dedication to its strategic vision aimed at supporting initiatives that foster growth in archery. By empowering athletes with world-class skills, they aim to continue achieving success on international platforms.
